On peut traduire aussi : "il y eut des ténèbres sur tout le pays."

Luc rapporte que le voile du temple se déchira avant la mort de Jésus, et ne parle pas du tremblement de terre ; selon Matthieu et Marc, ces phénomènes suivirent immédiatement la mort du Sauveur.

Au lieu de : "et le soleil s'obscurcit," Sin., B, ont : "le soleil ayant manqué ou subi une éclipse."
