Objet voyant. Nous avons traduit ainsi, d'après son sens étymologique, le terme rendu dans le verset précédent par le mot gland. Ce mot est tsitsith, qui désigne quelque chose d'éclatant, qui attire les regards. Chaque fois que l'un de ces glands venait à frapper le regard de l'Israélite, il rappelait à son attention les commandements dont ces objets étaient le mémorial. La vue de ces glands doit détourner les pensées et les regards des objets propres à exciter la convoitise.
