Vous ne souillerez pas le pays. Le pays lui-même, la Terre sainte, est souillé si le sang, ou du moins la réparation qui a été constituée son équivalent, n'a pas enlevé la tache du sang. La punition du meurtrier n'est donc nullement un meurtre s'ajoutant à un autre meurtre ; elle efface au contraire le premier meurtre.
