Aux simples, littéralement : aux ouverts à ceux qui sont trop aisément accessibles à toutes les influences du dehors. Ce terme est pris habituellement dans un sens défavorable : 14.15. Voir cependant Psaumes 116.6.

De la raison, littéralement : de la ruse. Le mot de ruse (orma) a toujours dans les Proverbes un sens favorable. Au reste il ne se trouve que dans les neuf premiers chapitres.

Au jeune homme, dépourvu d'expérience et qui subit plus facilement la première influence qui vient à s'exercer sur lui.

De la réflexion. Encore un mot qui ne se trouve plus dans cette acception favorable à partir du chapitre 10.
