Grâce à ces nouveaux progrès, l'auditeur attentif de ces proverbes en viendra à n'y rien trouver de trop difficile pour lui, alors même que les sages se plaisent parfois, pour frapper davantage les esprits et pour piquer la curiosité, à recourir aux allégories (langage figuré) et aux énigmes (langage détourné).
