Ce verset montre ce que s'attire l'homme emporté du verset 16. Au reste, il y a gradation du début du verset à la fin. La colère nuit à qui s'y livre, et souvent les autres ne font que d'en rire. Mais les pensées mêmes de qui machine contre ses voisins constituent pour eux un danger et le font détester.
