Cette sentence se retrouve 21.2 avec quelques variantes. L'homme peut se tromper gravement sur la valeur morale de sa conduite ; son jugement est faillible, Dieu a une balance infaillible (Psaumes 139.23-24). Chacun se croit relativement pur ; mais que pense de nous le Seigneur ? (1Jean 3.20-21)
