Encore une vérité d'expérience. Il s'agit de montrer au pauvre qu'il ne doit pas s'étonner si pareille chose lui arrive, et au riche qu'il court le risque de devenir un être inhumain s'il se confie en sa richesse. Comparez 10.15. On a vu aussi dans le premier membre de notre verset l'exhortation au pauvre à ne pas se laisser par trop abattre par son humble condition. Ceci encore nous ferait songer à Jacques 2.5-6.
