Proverbes 19.21

רַבּ֣וֹת מַחֲשָׁב֣וֹת בְּלֶב־אִ֑ישׁ וַעֲצַ֥ת יְ֝הוָ֗ה הִ֣יא תָקֽוּם׃
Il y a dans le cœur de l'homme beaucoup de projets, mais c'est le plan de l'Eternel qui s'accomplit.

Comparez 16.1,9. Il s'agit donc pour le sage, qui désire de voir ses desseins s'accomplir, de les faire rentrer à l'avance dans le cadre du plan divin. On a aussi traduit ce verset en l'émoussant : Bien des pensées diverses se succèdent dans le cœur de l'homme, mais le conseil de l'Eternel est immuable.
