Esclave. L'esclavage pour dettes fut connu des Hébreux (Exode 21.7 ; 2Rois 4.1 ; Néhémie 5.5), mais ici nous devons penser sans doute à la situation de dépendance et d'infériorité dans laquelle un débiteur se trouve vis-à-vis de son créancier.
