15 et 16 Les mots dresser des embûches et ruiner étaient employés dans 1.11 et 19.26 à propos de la personne même du juste. Ici il est question de sa demeure, riche ou misérable. Le juste a pour lui un puissant protecteur. Il peut tomber, victime des machinations ourdies contre lui (Job 5.19 ; Psaumes 37.24) ; mais Dieu le relève, tandis que le méchant tombe définitivement (14.32).
