Ni brèches, ni fuites, ni clameurs : allusion aux malheurs de la guerre, brèches pratiquées dans les murs de la ville, fuite des habitants, cris de lamentation. Le terme que nous avons traduit par fuite signifie proprement :sortie et peut s'appliquer soit à des sorties de l'armée assiégée, soit à la fuite des habitants cherchant à se soustraire aux derniers désastres, soit à leur départ de la ville au moment où ils sont emmenés en captivité.
