Mon Dieu, ô Roi, littéralement : mon Dieu, le Roi, toi qui es le Roi par excellence.

David chante la puissance, la bonté et la miséricorde divines. (Psaumes 145:1-9)
La gloire du royaume de Dieu, et le soin qu'Il a envers ceux qui l'aiment. (Psaumes 145:10-21)

Ceux qui, lors de la tentation et de l'épreuve, abondent dans une fervente prière, auront matière à louer Dieu, lors de Sa réponse, dans la joie et la sainteté. Nous devrions tout particulièrement mentionner, quand nous soulignons la grandeur de Dieu, Son immense œuvre de rédemption. Car ni la délivrance des Israélites, ni la punition des pécheurs ne pourront aussi clairement proclamer la justice divine à l'âme pieuse, que la croix de Christ. On peut vraiment dire que la Parole de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ est pleine de bonté et de Grâce ; il en est de même pour Ses œuvres. Christ est plein de Compassion : Il est venu dans le monde pour sauver les pécheurs.

Sur terre, Il a montré sa compassion envers les hommes, en donnant la sagesse à leur âme et en guérissant leur corps. Son amour est grand, Il est le grand Prêtre miséricordieux, au travers duquel Dieu accorde sa grâce aux pécheurs.
