3 à 9 L'orage.

Les orages, en Palestine, sont moins fréquents, mais plus violents que dans nos contrées. David a sans doute devant l'esprit le tableau qu'il avait contemplé jadis, soit comme berger, soit comme fugitif, du haut des montagnes de Juda. Il voit l'orage s'avancer de l'occident par dessus la Méditerranée, éclater avec fracas sur la chaîne du Liban, traverser toute la Palestine et faire entendre ses derniers roulements dans les vastes solitudes du désert de Kadés, au midi de la Terre Sainte (de Mestral).
