Au lieu de céder à l'impatience ou à la dépression, lorsque nous sommes confrontés à nos problèmes, nous devrions tourner nos pensées vers la bonté du Seigneur, vers ceux qui Le craignent et qui Lui font une entière confiance. Tous les pécheurs peuvent s'approcher du Fils unique de Dieu, au travers de Son merveilleux don, pour avoir la rémission de leurs péchés. Ne cédons pas à l'incrédulité, ou ne pensons pas, sous l'effet de circonstances décourageantes, que nous puissions être séparés du regard du Seigneur, étant livrés à l'orgueil des hommes.

Pardonne, Seigneur, nos plaintes et nos craintes ; augmente note foi, notre patience, notre amour et notre reconnaissance ; enseigne-nous à nous réjouir dans la tribulation comme dans l'espérance. La délivrance de Christ, avec la destruction de Ses ennemis, devrait réconforter et donner des forces au cœur des croyants, au travers de leurs afflictions ici-bas ; alors, ayant souffert courageusement avec leur Maître, ils pourront entrer dans Sa joie et Sa gloire.
