Je marchais lentement comme pour le deuil d'un ami, d'un frère ; j'allais courbé tristement comme au deuil d'une mère.

World English Bible I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

Dans le deuil, littéralement : sombre, négligé (dans ma tenue et mes vêtements). Dans une grande douleur l'on négligait de se laver le visage et d'oindre sa chevelure (2Samuel 19.24), on se couvrait même parfois de poussière (Job 2.12).
