Comme des brebis à dévorer... Les uns sont massacrés, les autres vendus sur des marchés d'esclaves. Amos 1.11 et Abdias 1.10-14 reprochent à Edom des crimes semblables. Si l'homme est l'instrument de ces maux, ils n'en procèdent pas, moins de Dieu (tu as cessé..., tu as livré... etc.).
