12 à 17 Ce qu'Israël a été et ce qu'il pourrait être !

L'infidélité d'Israël est rappelée clairement, mais brièvement. Le Psalmiste, ou plutôt Dieu, dont il expose ici les pensées, se hâte de tourner son regard vers la prospérité qui serait celle de son peuple, s'il obéissait.

Israël n'a point voulu de moi. Nous adoptons ici la traduction de Calvin. Le mot ava signifie : vouloir, consentir, adopter les pensées et les désirs de quelqu'un.
