9 à 14 La promesse divine.

J'écouterai... Comparez Habakuk 2.1. Plutôt que de parler lui-même, le psalmiste préfère écouter la voix de Dieu, qui parle en son âme et annonce de bonnes nouvelles.

Il parlera de paix, de prospérité, de félicité ; le mot hébreu comporte ces différents sens. Dieu donnera à son peuple une heureuse fin de tous ses maux.

Ses fidèles ou ses bien-aimés ; ce terme s'applique à la relation d'amour réciproque qui existe entre Dieu et les siens (Psaumes 12.2 ; 18.26 ; 30.5 ; 31.24, etc.).

A leur folie. Ce mot donne indirectement l'explication des malheurs dont Israël ressent encore le contrecoup, au moment où parle le psalmiste.
