Le prophète termine par une description des bienfaits par lesquels Dieu consolera son peuple si longtemps affligé. Il n'y aura plus d'exilés privés de participer aux fêtes solennelles qui se célèbrent en Sion. Par les derniers mots : leur fardeau est l'opprobre, le prophète se reporte en arrière, au temps du jugement ignominieux que le peuple avait dû subir, mais dont Dieu promet d'effacer les traces.
