J’ai dit : « Qui sont ces chevaux, mon seigneur ? » L'ange qui me parlait m’a dit : « Je vais te montrer qui sont ces chevaux. »

Et je dis... A qui s'adresse cette question ? Il semble, au premier coup d'œil, tout naturel de supposer qu'elle est adressée au cavalier que Zacharie vient de voir apparaître sur le cheval roux, comme chef des trois troupes de cavaliers qui le suivent. Cependant on peut admettre aussi que Zacharie voit déjà, présent à côté de lui, l'ange qui va lui répondre et qui lui servira d'interprète dans tout le cours de ses visions pour lui expliquer les tableaux qu'il contemple. Cet ange est appelé littéralement l'ange parlant en moi, non qu'il soit question d'une voix intérieure communiquant sans paroles les pensées à l'âme ; mais le prophète entend les paroles de l'ange comme on peut entendre dans une vision, par une audition intérieure. Il n'en est pas moins vrai que cet ange interprète, comme on l'a appelé, remplit à l'égard du prophète, relativement à la vision, un office analogue à celui que remplit pour nous le Saint-Esprit par rapport à la personne du Sauveur et, aux enseignements de l'Ecriture ; comparez Jean 16.14 et 1Corinthiens 2.12.

Je te ferai voir. La réponse suivante (verset 10) de l'homme qui se tient dans les myrtes est sans doute le résultat d'une demande qui lui est adressée au nom de Zacharie par l'ange interprète. C'est là ce qui permet à celui-ci de dire : je te ferai voir.
