Si on voulait le lier à ce qui précède, il ne resterait qu'à en faire la conclusion du récit symbolique du chapitre 11 (la tentative du berger de l'Eternel pour sauver le peuple), et dans ce cas-là, il faudrait se garder de voir dans le berger décrit ici comme frappé de l'épée le mauvais berger de 11.15-17. Il ne resterait qu'à voir ici la fin tragique du bon berger (11.4-14), fin qui n'avait pas été décrite dans ce tableau. Car les expressions mon berger, l'homme mon compagnon, ne permettent de penser qu'au berger selon le cœur de Dieu. Mais comment, dans ce cas, ce morceau serait-il séparé du chapitre 11 par 11.1-13.6 ? N'est-il pas plus probable que nous avons ici un commencement tout nouveau, comme le produit d'une intuition nouvelle et subite tout à fait analogue à celle que nous avons observée au commencement du chapitre 11 : Liban, ouvre tes portes ! Là aussi, l'annonce du malheur qui allait fondre sur la Terre Sainte n'était préparée par rien dans ce qui précédait.Epée, réveille-toi. Le glaive est personnifié comme dans Jérémie 47.6, il représente les agents humains dont Dieu se servira pour frapper le berger. Quels seront ces agents ? Le prophète ne le dit pas, car il tient à présenter cet événement comme l'accomplissement d'un plan de Dieu.Mon berger. Le chef que Dieu a donné à son peuple. De qui parle-t-il en ces termes ? Ceux qui placent la composition de ces chapitres avant la captivité, pensent à l'un des rois de Juda dans les temps qui précédèrent la ruine. Mais depuis Josias, aucun de ces rois (Jéhojakim, Jéhojachin, Sédécias) n'aurait pu être désigné par Dieu comme l'homme son compagnon ; et quant à Josias lui-même, il n'est pas possible de penser à lui, puisque le passage 12.11-14, sur le deuil d'Hadadrimmon suppose que sa mort était un fait dès longtemps consommé. Dans 11.12-13, Jéhova, en tant que Messie, avait été présenté comme taxé ignominieusement par le peuple ; dans 12.10, comme percé par lui. N'est-il pas évident que c'est au même personnage que s'applique ici l'expression mon berger, l'homme mon compagnon ? Ce dernier terme exprime l'idée que tout est commun entre Jéhova et ce berger visible, pensée et travail. La manière dont le meurtre du Messie est ici rapporté à Dieu lui-même n'exclut point la culpabilité du peuple dans cet acte. Dans le tableau d'Esaïe chapitre 53, c'est Dieu qui fait venir sur son serviteur l'iniquité de nous tous, et cependant, c'est le mépris coupable d'Israël pour lui qui est la cause de sa mort. Dieu livre Israël à son aveuglement pour qu'il accomplisse le forfait suprême d'où résultera le jugement qui pourra seul le purifier.Et que les brebis soient dispersées. La dispersion du troupeau sera la conséquence du coup qui aura frappé le berger. Il faut que le Messie ait disparu pour que le peuple soit livré à la catastrophe finale d'où il doit sortir renouvelé. Jésus cite cette parole (Matthieu 26.31 et suivants ; Marc 14.21), en l'appliquant spécialement à la dispersion de ses disciples, dès le moment de son arrestation. Evidemment cette application partielle n'épuise pas le sens de notre verset, qui parle du peuple entier et de son châtiment.Je ramènerai ma main sur les petits. Non pas, comme quelques-uns ont traduit : Je tournerai ma main contre les petits ; car les petits ne doivent pas être identifiés avec le troupeau tout entier. Nous retrouvons ici ces brebis misérables du troupeau qui avaient regardé au berger, 11.7. Dieu, après avoir retiré sa main protectrice pour laisser le jugement frapper et disperser le troupeau, fera revenir sa main sur les humbles qui se sont attachés au berger, pour les protéger et les délivrer. En fait, Christ et le Père ne sont « qu’une seule Personne ». Jésus est le Berger qui allait donner Sa vie pour Ses brebis. Il devait subir ce sacrifice, car « sans effusion du sang, il ne peut y avoir de rémission des péchés, » (Heb 9:22)*.L’épée mentionnée au début de ce texte allait se lever contre Christ, malgré le fait qu’Il n’ait aucun péché à se faire pardonner. Si on voulait le lier à ce qui précède, il ne resterait qu'à en faire la conclusion du récit symbolique du chapitre 11 (la tentative du berger de l'Eternel pour sauver le peuple), et dans ce cas-là, il faudrait se garder de voir dans le berger décrit ici comme frappé de l'épée le mauvais berger de 11.15-17. Il ne resterait qu'à voir ici la fin tragique du bon berger (11.4-14), fin qui n'avait pas été décrite dans ce tableau. Car les expressions mon berger, l'homme mon compagnon, ne permettent de penser qu'au berger selon le cœur de Dieu. Mais comment, dans ce cas, ce morceau serait-il séparé du chapitre 11 par 11.1-13.6 ? N'est-il pas plus probable que nous avons ici un commencement tout nouveau, comme le produit d'une intuition nouvelle et subite tout à fait analogue à celle que nous avons observée au commencement du chapitre 11 : Liban, ouvre tes portes ! Là aussi, l'annonce du malheur qui allait fondre sur la Terre Sainte n'était préparée par rien dans ce qui précédait.Epée, réveille-toi. Le glaive est personnifié comme dans Jérémie 47.6, il représente les agents humains dont Dieu se servira pour frapper le berger. Quels seront ces agents ? Le prophète ne le dit pas, car il tient à présenter cet événement comme l'accomplissement d'un plan de Dieu.Mon berger. Le chef que Dieu a donné à son peuple. De qui parle-t-il en ces termes ? Ceux qui placent la composition de ces chapitres avant la captivité, pensent à l'un des rois de Juda dans les temps qui précédèrent la ruine. Mais depuis Josias, aucun de ces rois (Jéhojakim, Jéhojachin, Sédécias) n'aurait pu être désigné par Dieu comme l'homme son compagnon ; et quant à Josias lui-même, il n'est pas possible de penser à lui, puisque le passage 12.11-14, sur le deuil d'Hadadrimmon suppose que sa mort était un fait dès longtemps consommé. Dans 11.12-13, Jéhova, en tant que Messie, avait été présenté comme taxé ignominieusement par le peuple ; dans 12.10, comme percé par lui. N'est-il pas évident que c'est au même personnage que s'applique ici l'expression mon berger, l'homme mon compagnon ? Ce dernier terme exprime l'idée que tout est commun entre Jéhova et ce berger visible, pensée et travail. La manière dont le meurtre du Messie est ici rapporté à Dieu lui-même n'exclut point la culpabilité du peuple dans cet acte. Dans le tableau d'Esaïe chapitre 53, c'est Dieu qui fait venir sur son serviteur l'iniquité de nous tous, et cependant, c'est le mépris coupable d'Israël pour lui qui est la cause de sa mort. Dieu livre Israël à son aveuglement pour qu'il accomplisse le forfait suprême d'où résultera le jugement qui pourra seul le purifier.Et que les brebis soient dispersées. La dispersion du troupeau sera la conséquence du coup qui aura frappé le berger. Il faut que le Messie ait disparu pour que le peuple soit livré à la catastrophe finale d'où il doit sortir renouvelé. Jésus cite cette parole (Matthieu 26.31 et suivants ; Marc 14.21), en l'appliquant spécialement à la dispersion de ses disciples, dès le moment de son arrestation. Evidemment cette application partielle n'épuise pas le sens de notre verset, qui parle du peuple entier et de son châtiment.Je ramènerai ma main sur les petits. Non pas, comme quelques-uns ont traduit : Je tournerai ma main contre les petits ; car les petits ne doivent pas être identifiés avec le troupeau tout entier. Nous retrouvons ici ces brebis misérables du troupeau qui avaient regardé au berger, 11.7. Dieu, après avoir retiré sa main protectrice pour laisser le jugement frapper et disperser le troupeau, fera revenir sa main sur les humbles qui se sont attachés au berger, pour les protéger et les délivrer. En fait, Christ et le Père ne sont « qu’une seule Personne ». Jésus est le Berger qui allait donner Sa vie pour Ses brebis. Il devait subir ce sacrifice, car « sans effusion du sang, il ne peut y avoir de rémission des péchés, » (Heb 9:22)*.L’épée mentionnée au début de ce texte allait se lever contre Christ, malgré le fait qu’Il n’ait aucun péché à se faire pardonner. Nous pouvons également faire de cette phrase un parallèle avec la dispersion d’une partie de l'église, corrompue et hypocrite...Les Juifs ayant rejeté et crucifié Christ, en s’opposant à Son Évangile, furent persécutés par les Romains, qui détruisirent une grande partie du peuple. Toutefois, un « reste » sera sauvé (verset huit). Si nous faisons partie de Son peuple, nous serons alors « affinés spirituellement, comme l'or ; » Il restera éternellement notre Dieu ! N'est-il pas plus probable que nous avons ici un commencement tout nouveau, comme le produit d'une intuition nouvelle et subite tout à fait analogue à celle que nous avons observée au commencement du chapitre 11 : Liban, ouvre tes portes ! Là aussi, l'annonce du malheur qui allait fondre sur la Terre Sainte n'était préparée par rien dans ce qui précédait.Epée, réveille-toi. Le glaive est personnifié comme dans Jérémie 47.6, il représente les agents humains dont Dieu se servira pour frapper le berger. Quels seront ces agents ? Le prophète ne le dit pas, car il tient à présenter cet événement comme l'accomplissement d'un plan de Dieu.Mon berger. Le chef que Dieu a donné à son peuple. De qui parle-t-il en ces termes ? Ceux qui placent la composition de ces chapitres avant la captivité, pensent à l'un des rois de Juda dans les temps qui précédèrent la ruine. Mais depuis Josias, aucun de ces rois (Jéhojakim, Jéhojachin, Sédécias) n'aurait pu être désigné par Dieu comme l'homme son compagnon ; et quant à Josias lui-même, il n'est pas possible de penser à lui, puisque le passage 12.11-14, sur le deuil d'Hadadrimmon suppose que sa mort était un fait dès longtemps consommé. Dans 11.12-13, Jéhova, en tant que Messie, avait été présenté comme taxé ignominieusement par le peuple ; dans 12.10, comme percé par lui. N'est-il pas évident que c'est au même personnage que s'applique ici l'expression mon berger, l'homme mon compagnon ? Ce dernier terme exprime l'idée que tout est commun entre Jéhova et ce berger visible, pensée et travail. La manière dont le meurtre du Messie est ici rapporté à Dieu lui-même n'exclut point la culpabilité du peuple dans cet acte. Dans le tableau d'Esaïe chapitre 53, c'est Dieu qui fait venir sur son serviteur l'iniquité de nous tous, et cependant, c'est le mépris coupable d'Israël pour lui qui est la cause de sa mort. Dieu livre Israël à son aveuglement pour qu'il accomplisse le forfait suprême d'où résultera le jugement qui pourra seul le purifier.Et que les brebis soient dispersées. La dispersion du troupeau sera la conséquence du coup qui aura frappé le berger. Il faut que le Messie ait disparu pour que le peuple soit livré à la catastrophe finale d'où il doit sortir renouvelé. Jésus cite cette parole (Matthieu 26.31 et suivants ; Marc 14.21), en l'appliquant spécialement à la dispersion de ses disciples, dès le moment de son arrestation. Evidemment cette application partielle n'épuise pas le sens de notre verset, qui parle du peuple entier et de son châtiment.Je ramènerai ma main sur les petits. Non pas, comme quelques-uns ont traduit : Je tournerai ma main contre les petits ; car les petits ne doivent pas être identifiés avec le troupeau tout entier. Nous retrouvons ici ces brebis misérables du troupeau qui avaient regardé au berger, 11.7. Dieu, après avoir retiré sa main protectrice pour laisser le jugement frapper et disperser le troupeau, fera revenir sa main sur les humbles qui se sont attachés au berger, pour les protéger et les délivrer. En fait, Christ et le Père ne sont « qu’une seule Personne ». Jésus est le Berger qui allait donner Sa vie pour Ses brebis. Il devait subir ce sacrifice, car « sans effusion du sang, il ne peut y avoir de rémission des péchés, » (Heb 9:22)*.L’épée mentionnée au début de ce texte allait se lever contre Christ, malgré le fait qu’Il n’ait aucun péché à se faire pardonner.
