Ce texte nous donne une description des hommes forts qui entouraient David, ces personnages illustres qui le servirent. Bien que David ait reconnu son succès, il ne l'attribua pas au concours des hommes forts qui étaient avec lui, mais au Dieu Tout Puissant, dont la Présence l'entourait. En offrant leur appui pour renforcer le trône de David, ces hommes contribuaient, en fait, à assurer leur propre intérêt, car ce dernier était lié à l'affermissement du roi.

Nous ne pourrons qu'être gagnants, à contribuer à l'avancement du Royaume du Fils de David ; et ceux qui Lui sont fidèles, trouveront leur nom enregistré dans les livres célestes, avec plus d'honneur, qu'ils ne pourraient le trouver dans les ouvrages des records ici-bas !
