World English Bible God raised up an adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah.

Hadadézer était roi de Tsoba, contrée syrienne au sud-est du Liban. Après la défaite de ce roi par David (2Samuel 8.5 et. suivants) Rézon était parvenu à réunir une bande de fuyards et à s'emparer de Damas.
