Alors Salomon se réveilla, et voilà le songe. Puis il s'en retourna à Jérusalem, et se tint devant l'Arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel, et offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices de prospérités, et fit un festin à tous ses serviteurs.

Voilà, c'était un songe ! Cette scène avait été si vivante dans l'esprit de Salomon, qu'à son réveil il constate avec étonnement que c'était un songe, ce qui n'empêche pas que ce ne fût une révélation de Dieu.

Se présenta devant l'arche, qui était à Jérusalem dans la cité de David, séparée du Tabernacle (2Samuel 12.16).

Et il offrit : une nouvelle fête, d'actions de grâces cette fois (holocaustes, sacrifices de reconnaissance).
