      1 Samuel 24

19 For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away unharmed? Therefore may Yahweh reward you good for that which you have done to me this day.

      1 Samuel 25

26 Now therefore, my lord, as Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, since Yahweh has withheld you from blood guiltiness, and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now therefore let your enemies, and those who seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.
31 that this shall be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. When Yahweh has dealt well with my lord, then remember your handmaid."
33 Blessed is your discretion, and blessed are you, that have kept me this day from blood guiltiness, and from avenging myself with my own hand.

      1 Samuel 26

10 David said, "As Yahweh lives, Yahweh will strike him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle and perish.

      Psaumes 141

5 Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don't let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.

      Proverbes 9

9 Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

      Proverbes 17

10 A rebuke enters deeper into one who has understanding than a hundred lashes into a fool.

      Proverbes 25

12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.

      Proverbes 27

21 The crucible is for silver, and the furnace for gold; but man is refined by his praise.

      Proverbes 28

23 One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.
