Ses fils. La mention de fils d'Athalie, ayant travaillé avec elle à ravager le temple, est étonnante ; car d'après le chapitre 22, Achazia et ses frères, et même les fils de ceux-ci, étaient morts quand Athalie parvint au trône. Peut-être l'auteur a-t-il en vue le temps où Athalie, avant d'être reine, incitait au mal son fils Achazia (22.3), ou même déjà l'époque de Joram, sous le règne duquel Athalie peut fort bien avoir poussé ses fils à ravager le temple. Mais il est possible aussi que le texte soit altéré et qu'il faille lire coanéa, ses sacrificateurs, et non banéa, ses fils.
