Itthaï. Celui-ci, qui sans doute avait le commandement de cette troupe (18.2), était d'origine guitthienne et, comme tel, n'était pas tenu aux mêmes devoirs envers David que les sujets de celui-ci. David le délie donc de ses engagements et l'autorise à retourner soit chez lui avec ses compatriotes, soit simplement à Jérusalem.
