Homme de sang. Peut-être attribue-t-il à David les meurtres d'Abner et d'Isboseth (3.27 et 4.6) et même la mort de Saül et de ses fils à Guilboa, mort qu'il aurait pu détourner, s'il se fût rangé du côté des Israélites.
