Ton palais comme le meilleur vin. Ces mots sont encore dans la bouche de Salomon, mais ici Sulammith l'interrompt subitement et achève la phrase dans un sens absolument opposé à la pensée du roi, en ajoutant : Qui coule droit à mon bien-aimé. Malgré ce que vient de se promettre si résolument Salomon, elle réserve son amour à son bien-aimé, seul. Nous avons déjà vu deux interruptions semblables, 1.12 et 4.16.
