Ecclésiaste 10.15

Le sot se fatigue beaucoup pour peu, lui qui ne sait même pas trouver son chemin pour aller à la ville.
Le travail de l’insensé le fatigue, parce qu’il ne sait pas aller à la ville.

Le fou parle sur tout, blâme, s'agite, s'échauffe, se fatigue, se perd dans les questions les plus ardues, lui qui ne sait pas [même] le chemin de la ville, expression proverbiale pour dire qu'il ne sait pas même les choses les plus simples. Il est comme frappé d'aveuglement (2Rois 6.18) et il s'érige en conducteur d'autrui ! (Luc 6.39).

D'autres : Les difficultés et les ennuis que procurent les insensés finissent, par accabler celui qui ne sait pas intéresser à sa cause les magistrats qui résident dans le chef-lieu.

Ce sens aurait l'avantage de préparer les verset suivants. Mais on peut aussi considérer ceux-ci comme mentionnant de nouvelles illustrations de l'avantage de la sagesse sur la folie.
