Esaïe 26.14

Ceux-là sont morts et ne revivront pas, ils ne sont plus que des ombres, ils ne se relèveront pas. C’est vrai, tu es intervenu pour les exterminer, tu as fait disparaître tout ce qui pouvait rappeler leur souvenir.

Les oppresseurs (verset 13) sont morts ; ce ne sont plus que des ombres ils ne remonteront pas du schéol pour revenir jouer sur la terre leur rôle malfaisant (comparez 14.21-22 ; Job 7.9-10, etc.)

Ces mots ne prouvent rien contre une résurrection des injustes pour le jugement final ; il s'agit de l'histoire du règne de Dieu sur la terre, à laquelle ils restent désormais étrangers.
