Le décret divin était arrêté : quel que soit l'état d'Israël, en pleine prospérité ou dans l'épreuve, le juste devait connaitre la félicité, alors que le méchant devait subir la ruine.

Béni soit Dieu, pour Ses nombreux encouragements adressés aux « justes », à Lui accorder leur confiance, et aux pécheurs, à se repentir et à se tourner vers Lui !

Le temps était venu pour l'Éternel, de révéler Sa Toute Puissance. Il demandera un jour aux hommes, de rendre compte de toute la richesse et de la force qui leur ont été confiées, et de tous les abus auxquels ils se sont livrés. Si la non assistance aux pauvres et aux nécessiteux est déjà un péché, combien plus grave en sera-t-il pour ceux qui auront provoqué la pauvreté de leur prochain, pour ensuite, les opprimer !

      Deutéronome 28

      1 It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that Yahweh your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth:
      2 and all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.
      3 You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field.
      4 You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.
