Elle n'a même eu personne pour la consoler : car humainement il ne pouvait y avoir de consolation à son malheur. On ne pouvait, en le voyant, que demeurer muet d'horreur (Job 2.13).

Les enfants de Sion ont péri par deux maux : la désolation du pays, la famine ; et la ruine, le massacre par l'épée des étrangers (Deutéronome 32.24-25 ; 7.15).
