La vérité et la droiture sont personnifiées : elles ne peuvent pénétrer dans la place publique (où se rend la justice), parce que ni peuple ni juges n'en veulent ; ou, si elles s'y présentent, elles sont victimes des pièges qu'on leur tend (comparez sur les juges iniques 1.23 ; 5.23).
