Segond 21 Lorsque les maçons posèrent les fondations du temple de l'Eternel, on disposa les prêtres en costume avec les trompettes et les Lévites descendants d’Asaph avec les cymbales, afin qu'ils célèbrent l'Eternel d'après les directives de David, roi d'Israël.

Fils d'Asaph : voir 2.41.

Avec des cymbales. Comparez 1Chroniques 15.19, où les cymbales sont maniées par les Lévites, et les trompettes par les sacrificateurs, absolument comme ici (1Chroniques 15.24).

D'après la manière établie par David. Comparez 1Chroniques 6.31 ; 16.4,5,7. Ils ne font pas les choses comme bon leur semble, mais renouent avec le passé.
