Exode 25.37

On façonnera les sept lampes nécessaires et on les placera sur le porte-lampes de telle manière qu’elles éclairent en avant.
Vous fabriquerez sept lampes. Vous les mettrez sur le porte-lampes pour qu’elles donnent de la lumière devant lui.

L'on tournera la lumière... Les becs des réservoirs à huile, d'où sortaient les mèches, devaient être tournés non du côté de la muraille, mais vers le Lieu saint et la table des pains.
