3 à 6 Pour faciliter le montage de cette grande tenture de vingt-huit coudées dans une direction et de quarante dans l'autre, elle était partagée en deux assemblages, dont chacun comprenait cinq des dix bandes dont elle était composée. Ces deux assemblages étaient réunis l'un à l'autre par cinquante agrafes d'or mobiles, passées dans autant de ganses de pourpre fixées en face les unes des autres aux deux assemblages. Cette jointure des deux assemblages devait se trouver placée juste au-dessus du voile qui séparait le Lieu saint du Lieu très saint.
