L'épha valait d'après Josèphe un peu moins de quarante litres, mais d'après les rabbins seulement vingt litres environ. Le hin était la sixième partie de l'épha ; il contenait donc un peu plus de trois litres.D'huile vierge : voir à 27.20. Ce sacrifice quotidien était le seul pour lequel on exigeât expressément de l'huile vierge.L'offrande et la libation qui accompagnaient un sacrifice étaient plus ou moins considérables suivant l'animal qu'on immolait. Nous ne savons comment elle s'accomplissait. Josèphe rapporte qu'on répandait la libation autour de l'autel. Quelques-uns prétendent qu'une partie du vin était consommée par les sacrificateurs. L'épha valait d'après Josèphe un peu moins de quarante litres, mais d'après les rabbins seulement vingt litres environ. Le hin était la sixième partie de l'épha ; il contenait donc un peu plus de trois litres.D'huile vierge : voir à 27.20. Ce sacrifice quotidien était le seul pour lequel on exigeât expressément de l'huile vierge.L'offrande et la libation qui accompagnaient un sacrifice étaient plus ou moins considérables suivant l'animal qu'on immolait. Un dixième de farine, un quart de hin d'huile et un quart de hin de vin était l'offrande et la libation pour un agneau, voir Nombres 15.5 ; 29.3 et suivants.La première libation qui nous soit racontée dans l'Ancien Testament est celle de Jacob à Béthel, Genèse 35.14. Sur les libations, voir Nombres 15.5 et suivants. On ne sait pas au juste ce qu'on faisait de la libation. Le fait qu'il est défendu (Exode 30.9) de répandre aucune libation sur l'autel des parfums, fait naturellement supposer qu'on la répandait sur l'autel des holocaustes. Nous ne savons comment elle s'accomplissait. Josèphe rapporte qu'on répandait la libation autour de l'autel. Quelques-uns prétendent qu'une partie du vin était consommée par les sacrificateurs.
