Abraham lui-même n'aura pas à subir cette captivité.

Tu t'en iras en paix vers tes pères. D'après ce verset même, l'expression s'en aller vers ses pères désigne un fait qui diffère de celui d'être enseveli et qui le précède. Elle signifie entrer dans le schéol, le séjour des morts, où l'on retrouve ses ancêtres. Ce terme implique l'idée de l'immortalité personnelle.
