Ne cherchons pas à accuser les hypocrites si ceux-ci ne persistent pas dans leurs fautes. Que les orgueilleux et les impénitents prennent conscience de leur péché et qu'ils puissent entrevoir les vertus de la grâce qui surabonde.
Abimélec a pris conscience de l'avertissement de Dieu ; étant vraiment effrayé par les conséquences du péché qu'il était en voie de commettre, il n'a pas tardé à se diriger dans la direction que Dieu lui avait indiquée.
