Le mont Séhir signifie « la terre de leur possession ». Canaan n'était à cette époque que la terre promise. Séhir appartenait aux Édomites.Les enfants de ce monde ne possèdent que ce qu'ils ont à leur disposition, et n'ont rien en perspective, Luc 16:25 ; par contre, les enfants de Dieu possèdent toutes choses dans l'espérance, et n'ont rien à leur disposition ici-bas.
