Il est victime d'une double injustice : celle qui l'a fait venir en Egypte et celle qui l'a fait jeter en prison.

Pays des Hébreux. Plutôt que d'employer une dénomination géographique, Joseph appelle du nom de ses pères le pays où ils habitent.

Fosse. Traduction littérale d'un mot hébreu (bor), qui signifie aussi prison.
