Ne crains point de descendre... Il faut un ordre précis de Dieu pour quitter le pays de la promesse. Isaac, sur le point de partir pour l'Egypte, avait été arrêté par une manifestation divine (36.2).

Je t'y ferai devenir une grande nation. Ces mots impliquent la longue durée du séjour qu'y fera sa famille. Comparez la révélation accordée à Abraham, 15.13-16
