Rendez la justice. L'oppression des petits par les grands n'avait fait qu'augmenter dans la ville assiégée. Comme nous l'avons vu à propos de l'observation du sabbat 17.19-27, le retour sincère à l'obéissance sur un seul point de la loi aurait été le signal d'une conversion, qui jusqu'au dernier moment eût pu conjurer la ruine. C'était là la réponse de Dieu à la demande d'un miracle. Le miracle est celui qui doit s'accomplir tout d'abord en eux-mêmes.
