World English Bible Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

Cet ordre ne se rapporte pas à toutes les révélations reçues par le prophète dans le cours de son ministère (comparez verset 3 avec 26.2), mais seulement aux promesses contenues dans le morceau 30.5-31.40. L'écrit mentionné ici n'était donc qu'une simple feuille, tandis que celui dont il est question 36.1, était un livre proprement dit. Ces promesses, au lieu d'être prononcées en public, devaient être mises par écrit, parce qu'elles se rapportaient à un avenir encore lointain et qu'elles devaient servir à l'édification et à la consolation des générations futures.
