רָאִ֕יתִי וְהִנֵּ֥ה הַכַּרְמֶ֖ל הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְכָל־עָרָ֗יו נִתְּצוּ֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃

Verger : en hébreu carmel. Ce mot est tantôt nom propre, tantôt nom commun ; cette dernière acception convient mieux ici à cause du parallélisme avec toutes ses villes.

Devant l'Eternel : car les Chaldéens sont l'instrument de l'Eternel.
