La montagne : le plateau montagneux septentrional, à l'ouest du cours supérieur du Jourdain et du lac de Génézareth.

La plaine : la vallée du Jourdain depuis l'extrémité sud du lac de Génézareth.

Kinnaroth (ou Kinnéreth) : Nombres 34.11, note.

Le bas pays : la contrée entre le pied du plateau et la mer Méditerranée, en y comprenant peut-être la plaine de Buttauf qui sépare en deux parties le plateau septentrional.

Les hauteurs de Dor : une chaine de collines qui s'étend depuis le Carmel jusqu'à Césarée à quelque distance de la mer.

Dor, au sud du Carmel, bâtie par les Phéniciens, en vue de l'industrie de la pourpre ; ayant son roi particulier (12.23) ; adjugée à la tribu de Manassé, quoiqu'elle fût dans la tribu d'Asser ; possédée ensuite par Ephraïm ; aujourd'hui Tantura.
