Et ceux d'Israël retournèrent vers les enfants de Benjamin, et les frappèrent au tranchant de l'épée, tant les hommes de chaque ville que les bêtes, et tout ce qui s'y trouva. Ils brûlèrent aussi toutes les villes qui s'y trouvèrent.

      Deutéronome 13

      15 you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.
      16 You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, and all its spoil every whit, to Yahweh your God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.
      17 Nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand; that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers;

      48 The men of Israel turned again on the children of Benjamin, and struck them with the edge of the sword, both the entire city, and the livestock, and all that they found: moreover all the cities which they found they set on fire.

      9 But a prophet of Yahweh was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them, "Behold, because Yahweh, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.

      Proverbes 18

      19 A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city; and disputes are like the bars of a castle.
