26 à 28 Défenses d'imiter quelques coutumes superstitieuses des peuples païens.

Avec le sang. Cette traduction ne fait dire à notre verset que ce qui a déjà été dit 7.26 ; 17.10 ; Genèse 9.4. Comparez 1Samuel 14.33 et suivants. Mais la traduction littérale serait : près du sang, et l'on pourrait voir ici une allusion à la coutume de certains païens (les Zabiens) qui, pour fraterniser avec les esprits auxquels la victime était consacrée, mangeaient sa chair en se groupant autour d'un vase renfermant son sang.

Aucune sorte de divination ou de magie. Ne pas chercher à deviner l'avenir par l'évocation des morts (1Samuel 28) ou par quelque espèce de présage (Genèse 44.5 ; Esaïe 2.6 ; 57.3).
